I just found out the 19 yo dd of a lady I work with is in the hospital with multiple blood clots in her lungs. They want to ship her out to a bigger hospital but she doesn't want to leave her 2 week old baby. Please pray for this young girl. The hospital she's at is small and not a good hospital to be at for something like this. Pray they can move her and take care of this without any complications.

This young lady was released from the hospital on Wed. They said the blood clots were caused by her birth control pills. She will remain on Coumadin for a long time...maybe permanently and will have to have her blood checked on a regular basis. Thanks for all your prayers.

I saw one today. I actually have to disagree with them telling her it was the BC Pills. Obviously she hasn't been on them for a while as she has a 2 week old baby. hmmmmm not so sure about that. I would really question being on the coumadin for an extended period of time also. At her age, once the clots disolve, there would be no reason at all to keep her on coumadin.

but I'd get a 2nd. opinion about the coumadin. While it helps keep my FIL alive it almost killed my Mother. With all of my mother's health issues we are learning to ask questions. Most docs do a great job caring for their patients, BUT they are human and can/will make mistakes.
