A lady at my church brought us over a meal last week, during my intial recovery period. She made and brought over a loaf of this bread and it was delicious. My kids and hubby loved it so much, they wanted me to get the recipe. I got it yesterday, so thought I would share.

2 pkg. yeast
1 c. warm water
1/4 c. oil
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1/2 c. honey
2 t. salt
1 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. rye flour
1 c. oatmeal
1/4 c. flax seed
4-5 cups flour
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add remaining ingred., except flour, and beat. Add enough flour to make a stiff dough. Knead, let rise. Punch down and form into 2 loaves. Put in greased or sprayed loaf pans. Let rise. Bake at 350 for 35-45 minutes.

Follow up on this recipe. I talked to the lady last night who I got this recipe from. She said that you can switch up whatever flours that you would like in this, as long as you leave the amounts the same. Of course, you would want to keep the higher gluten flours for the larger amounts, or you will have a very dense bread. Hope that helps someone. This bread was so very tasty, I hope that you get a chance to try it.

but i'll have to use 1 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour because I don't have any rye. Thanks Jules!

Let me know what you think. We thought it was wonderful...but of course, everything tastes better when I don't have to cook it! LOL!!! Anyway, I am working on eating up some other bread that I had in my freezer and when its gone, I'm going to be making this also. I don't have rye right now, either...but I have some spelt or 7 grain that I was going to add instead. The 1/2 cup of it won't make much difference anyway. Let me know, though...
